Who is lobbying for migrant writers?

There are currently only two Australia Council-funded literary journals whose prime focus is diversity: Mascara Literary Review and Peril, a magazine whose focus is Asian Australian arts and culture.

Last November, Michelle Cahill, editor of the Mascara Literary Review wrote about the funding situation of such journals and how  “deeply inscribed racial hierarchies that determine cultural privilege are just as important as the politics of funding independent and small to medium arts practice.”
